Designed specifically to stream across the internet our station is best accessed via a free downloadable Android or iOS app which is available from your favourite App store. 1st October, 2021

Van Life Radio is back! and will be better than before. Due to COVID travel restrictions we were unable to safely transfer back to the UK as planned in July and have decided for the interum, to run/manage VLR from location in New Zealand. Van Life Radio will be fully operational once COVID lockdown has been lifted which is hopefully going to happen by the end of this year 2021. So we are focusing on events, festivals and happenings around New Zealand for the summer months from Jan 2022 to May 2022. Stay tuned for more details.

12th July, 2021

For the past year (pre COVID) Van Life Radio has been officially run from New Zealand. It is time to get the operations back to the UK working in United Kingdom time zone. In order for this move to take place we are going to have to shut down the mobile studio for 3 months until we can relocate and reactivate it. Therefore from Monday 12th July, all LIVE shows will be on hold until the station is back up and running in England. In the meantime normal streaming services will resume from our station in the Cloud and the automated playlist will be available 24/7. We thank all our listeners for their support and look forward to interacting with you again late 2021.

How do I listen?

VLR is an Internet radio station. It streams via the web. ANY device can connect and listen to us via a media player or smart phone app.

Is the app free?

Yes. You can download the app for free from the Google Play Store (search Van Life Radio) or on iOS from the Apple App Store. Once installed press Play!

When do you stream?

Our station is available 24/7 that means we are streaming all day, every day, each week.

Are there Live Shows?

Yes. Most weekends, starting on Friday nights (GMT) we have a number of live DJ shows which stream from the DJ's studio.

Do You Run Adverts?

Unfortunately without advertising and sponsorship we could'nt survive so yes we do. If you are a camper van or motorhome business please contact us to find out more.

Any business or organisation that is involved with motorhomes and campervans. That can be campsites, campervan and motorhome resellers, accessory stores etc.

Where Are You?

For business reasons we are based in Auckland, New Zealand. However our studios are always on the move as most DJ's work remotely. Our streaming server is on the Internet which means we can operate 24/7 from anywhere in the world.

Who do you target?

Our target audience is primarily the Van Life community world-wide. However we have started in New Zealand and expanding to cover New Zealand, Australia, The UK, South Africa, Europe and eventually the United States.

How did you start?

VLR (Van Life Radio) was started by veteran DJ - DJ Pete in 2021. Pete also runs another sucessful (sister) Internet radio station called Canal Radio UK which supports the inland waterway community of Great Britain. This station has been running 24/7 since 2018 and has over 5,750 listeners a month.
